A new GM for The Belfry

I would like to take this opportunity of introducing myself. My name is David Toulson-Burke and I have recently joined the team at The Belfry as General Manager.

I am delighted to be heading up a property surrounded with such a rich heritage. The Belfry has it all as a resort; fantastic conference and banqueting facilities, three golf courses including the world-renowned Brabazon course, as well as a leisure club spa and range of restaurants. Of course it is the team and story behind the resort which gives it such character.

To give a brief background on myself, my previous roles have included hotel operations, developments and new openings. Prior to coming to the Midlands my last two positions have included the development and opening of a luxury boutique hotel and the introduction of a new corporate business concept; both into the North west.

My time in operations has been spent mainly with the Intercontinental Hotel Group working at various locations both in the UK and with the brand operations team in Europe.

2008 will be the first year that The Belfry has operated as an independently managed property and I am very much looking forward to working closely with the Belfry team to develop our business across all markets and deliver a world-class experience to our guests.
